The ETC family, best known for their magazine Dagens ETC, are active in multiple industries. One of their companies is ETC Spara, an initiative that offers climate-smart savings accounts in solar cells and sustainable construction projects at a fixed interest rate.
Background
The high demand for ETC sustainable savings accounts contributed to extensive manual administration, for instance to handle the influx of new applications as well as reporting account balance information to savers.
Our solution
The solution lets new users use BankID to open a savings account – a process that was previously handled via signing agreements via physical mail. The users are able to log into a customer portal to get a clear overview of how their savings progress over time, as well as read news about their investment, e.g. the development of a solar cell plant.
A comprehensive administration system allows ETC to manage the savings campaigns, calculate interest for thousands of accounts, communicate with savers, and export control information to the Swedish Tax Agency.
The platform is also integrated with the invoicing software Billecta.
The results
Since its launch in 2015 the system has been developed continuously to optimize manual processes and improve the experience for the users.
