Visita is the employer organization of the Swedish restaurant- and tourism industry, representing over 8 000 workplaces. The member companies are in dire need of more educated employees, which puts pressure on the upper secondary educations.
Visita is the employer organization of the Swedish restaurant- and tourism industry, representing over 8 000 workplaces. The member companies are in dire need of more educated employees, which puts pressure on the upper secondary educations.
To ensure quality, Visita has developed a certification model for restaurant, bakery and hotel programmes. The model ensures the students are given the best conditions to learn the skills that are in high demand by the industry. The certification includes, among other things, an extensive written submission where the education answers about fifty in-depth questions about their routines and education content. To make the application process as smooth as possible, Visita needed a digital solution.
The solution consists of three parts; an informative website, a certification portal for the educations, and an admin panel for Visita. Through the certification portal, the educations can, among other things, answer the application questions, upload documents, and receive feedback from Visita.
Visita has experienced great demand for the first round of certifications and currently has received applications from about fifty educations from all over the country. The certification initiative has been successful and is set to continue with further rounds.
